The Night

An exhibition of photographs of the Night. This is my the first online temporary exhibition. The night is one of my favorite times to photograph and make videos: the sea, the view from moving train, the moon, moments of stillness and quiet. I have the sense that the lights across the sea, of the beams of light from lighthouses and blinking illuminated bell buoys,  street lights changing for no-one, are a kind of calling to remember something invisible. I have always felt accompanied, less alone, somehow protected by the veil of night. Here is a selection of photos from my night wanders.

Una mostra di fotografie della Notte. Questa è la mia prima mostra temporanea online. La notte è uno dei miei momenti preferiti per fotografare e filmare: il mare, la vista da un treno in movimento, la luna, attimi di quiete e immobilità. Sento che le luci oltre il mare – i fasci dei fari, il lampeggiare delle boe luminose, i semafori che cambiano per nessuno -sono una specie di richiamo, un invito a ricordare qualcosa di invisibile. Mi sono sempre sentita accompagnata, meno sola, in qualche modo protetta dal velo della notte. Ecco una selezione di fotografie dalle mie peregrinazioni notturne.
